AB 434- TRANSPORATION FUND FOR CLEAN AIR <br /> (TFCA) <br /> <br />PURPOSE: <br /> <br />The Bay Area Air Quality Management District's Transportation Fund for Clean Air <br />program utilizes DMV fees to fund projects w/th the primary objective being to reduce <br />emissions into the air. C/CAG as the Program Manager for San Mateo County <br />administers the program. San Mateo County has the dual goal to both reduce air <br />emissions and improve congestion. <br /> <br />BENEFITS: <br /> <br /> · Elimination of hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides from the air 62.82 Tons <br /> <br />C/CAG BOARD ROLE: <br /> <br /> · Establish annual program priorities for the use of the regional funds. <br /> Contract for services with local agencies and monitor the outcomes of these <br /> projects. <br /> · Allocate funds and provide fiscal oversite. <br /> <br /> <br />
