TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) <br /> FUND MANAGEMENT <br /> <br />PURPOSE: <br /> <br />C/CAG receives federal funds each year under the Transportation Development Act <br />(TDA). The TDA program provides funding for pedestrian and bicycle projects. The <br />C/CAG Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is responsible for <br />evaluating and recommending to C/CAG those projects to be funded by Transportation <br />Development Act (TDA) Article 3 revenues. <br /> <br />BENEFITS: <br /> <br /> · Facilitate investment in bicycle and pedestrian facilities. <br /> · Increased bicycle and pedestrian use can improve congestion and air quality. <br /> · Bicycle map will facilitate use of bicycle for use both for commute and recreation. <br /> <br />C/CAG BOARD ROLE: <br /> <br /> · Determine long-range goals for bicycle and pedestrian improvements in San <br /> Mateo County. <br /> · Solicit projects to accomplish these goals and make recommendations to the <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission for the allocation of funds. <br /> <br /> <br />
