Arborist Report: Consultant will prepare an arborists report for the area disturbed (area
inside the grading limit line) by the Hillside Alternative. Consultant will inventory the
existing trees that would be removed by the installation of the tank in the new location.
The report will identify trees by type, size (diameter breast height)and general heath and
photographs of the trees will be assembled into a photo log. Consultant will prepare a
draft arborist report consistent with City of Redwood City requirements for review and
finalize the report based on comments received.
Communication/Team Coordination: The project team will require coordination to
carefully define this alternative and ensure the appropriate analysis is carried out. This
task will cover conferences calls, emails, and team direction, as well as contract
administration.
Civil Engineering Work—Task 4, 5, 6 and 7.
Consultant to prepare all the necessary engineering and design information needed to support a
conceptual site plan for the Hillside Alternative and to provide narrative discussion of design
features for the EIR.
Prepare Supplemental Conceqtual Drawinps: This task includes developing ground
surface (Google topography) data to fill in missing topographic data, mapping tree
locations, providing a section drawing with ground profile, and preparing a conceptual
site plan.
Suqqlemental Earthwork Calculations: This task consists of preparing earthwork
calculations of cut and fill needed for the EIR.
Provide Narrative Discussion Input to EIR: Consultant will provide a narrative discussion
of engineering and design features of this alternative consistent with the discussions
presented for other alternatives. This discussion will include the construction length, rock
excavation issues, tree removal, retaining wall design, and pump station and water
system operational impacts, and cost estimates.
Phone Conferences and Coordination: Consultant has allocated four hours each for the
Senior Project Manager and Project Manager to participate in team conferences calls,
and email communications, and two hours for administrative tasks.
Geotechnical Enqineerinq Work—Task 8. 9. 10 and 11.
The Consultant to complete the following tasks:
Field Work: The field work will consist of digging additional test pits and collecting bulk
soil samples in the area of the proposed tank to investigate soil and bedrock
characteristics. The soil samples will be logged by a Certified Engineering Geologist.
Laboratorv Analvsis: A laboratory strength test will be performed on the bulk soil
samples to facilitate more accurate slope stability analysis in the proposed tank location.
Revise Geotechnical Report: The existing geotechnical report will be revised to include
analysis of the Hillside Alternative. The analysis will include supplemental slope stability
analysis. A draft and final report will be provided.
ATTY/AGR/2015/AMENDMENTS/AMEND NO.2/MIG TRA—CATANK ALTNERNATIVE SITE STUDY
REV:05-28-15 VR
