Redwood City Education Foundation's mission is <br /> to assist the Redwood City School District in preserving the music program in all schools in <br /> the District. This funding request is to provide music education to 4,000 students in <br /> grades 2-5 during School Year 2012-2013. <br /> Funding Requested: $10,000 Funding Recommended: $9,500. <br /> Redwood Citv International. Redwood City International is a group which serves as the <br /> Sister City Committee for Redwood City. They also sponsor Fiestas de Patrias to honor the <br /> ethnic heritage of our Latin American residents. This grant will help fund the costs for <br /> their September 2012 event. <br /> Funding Requested: $1,500 Funding Recommended: $1,500. <br /> Redwood Citv Police Activities Leaaue. Redwood City Police Activities League's <br /> mission is to provide positive programs for at-risk youth in the community. Their annual <br /> Blues Festival is a fundraising event to fund the cost of these programs. The grant request <br /> is to help with operating costs for their July 2012 event. <br /> Funding Requested: $2,000 Funding Recommended: $1,800. <br /> Rov Cloud School Parent Club. Roy Cloud School Parent Club's goal is to benefit the <br /> education of Roy Cloud students by providing enrichment programs. They would like to <br /> offer an After School theater arts enrichment program for their students. The grant will <br /> provide funding for the program as well as provide scholarship opportunities for those <br /> students who cannot afford the program fee. <br /> Funding Requested: $2,500 Funding Recommended: $1,000. <br /> San Mateo Communitv Colleae Foundation. The Community College Foundation raises <br /> funds to provide much needed services for all San Mateo County community college <br /> campuses. Their annual Arts and Olive Festival raises scholarship funds for students in <br /> need. <br /> Funding Requested: $3,000 Funding Recommended: $2,000. <br /> Seauoia Art Groun. Sequoia Art Group is a large group of local artists who are <br /> interested in art education and promotion in the community. They also hold an annual <br /> Spring Art Show and have requested funding for their 50t" annual art show to be held in <br /> May 2013. The art show is open to adult entries and student entries (grades 6-12) and <br /> prizes are awarded to the winners.
