-29- <br /> 8.A. - Page 118 <br /> Mit'rgation: MM GEO —2: Development of the proposed project in compliance v►rith a final <br /> site-specific, design-level geotechnical report wiIl ensure that canstruction of the <br /> proposed project wauld not expose people or structures to poten�ial substantial <br /> adverse effects from seismic-related ground fai�ure, including liquefaction. <br /> Prior to issuance of a grading or building permit, the project app�icant shall <br /> submit to the City for review and appro�aI a fnal site-specific, design-level <br /> geatechnical report, to be prepared by a licensed professional. The geotechnical <br /> report shall include recommendations far grading, avoidance of settlemen#, the <br /> effects of expansive soi�s, and differential sett�ement of infrastr�cture and <br /> buildings. The repart sha11 alsa identify the specific design parameters for <br /> foundations systems to ensure that such systems will not be affected by <br /> liquefaction that could accur on the site. Building plans submitted to the City shall <br /> incorporate the foundation aesign parameters identifiea in the evaluation. <br /> Finding: Implementation of MM GEO—2 would reauce impacts from liquefaction to a less <br /> than significant�evei. <br /> Facts in Support of Findiag: Impiementation of MM GEO — 2 would reduce the project's <br /> impacts from Ifquefaction by preparing the site soils and designing the project to <br /> negate the impacts of liquefaction, as described in 5ection 2.3 — Geology, SOlIS, <br /> and Seismicity of the Draft EIR on pages 64-75, which is here�y incorporated by <br /> reference. <br /> Impact: Impact GEO—3: �tructures set back less than 30 feet from creek toe of bank are <br /> at risk from sudden bank failure. A small portion of the homc propased on Lot 3 <br /> wvuld encroach within 30 feet of the toe vf bank.
