Municipal Code Chapter 30 {Subdivisions) Sectio n 30.Z 18 B allows <br /> roadway width exceptior�s if a Planned Developmen# (PD) Permit has <br /> been appro�ed or if the exception is in the publ�c interest. <br /> 2. The proposed roadway meets emerger�cy vehicle {public safety) <br /> access and genera! circulafion needs of the project. The City Traffic <br /> E�►gineer i�as also reviewed the RKH Engineers and Fehr & Peers <br /> #raffic reports and memos (Finger Draft EIR Appendix G} and agrees <br /> that the proposed 22 foot wide private roadway will meet necessary <br /> access and circulation needs of#he project. <br /> 3. The roadway is not necessary tar neighborhood or general citywide <br /> circulation needs; rather it is a private roadway intended to serve only <br /> nine property owners and fhefr guests. The roadway is #hus considered <br /> proportionalfy sized to this small n+ne unit infill development. By <br /> contrast, most Redwood Shores projects have 25 foot wide, two-way <br /> private raadways because they serve as a network of neighborhood <br /> streets for larger de�elopments that generate greater vehicle demand/ <br /> #raffic �ofumes. <br /> 4. The ProJect is in the public interest as it is consistent witt� regional and <br /> community plans/po�ices outlined in the Finger Project Draft EIR, <br /> pages 173-479. <br /> Section 4.
