What fs important aesthetica2�y about my neighbarhood is the semi-rural character of the north side o�'Finger Avenue,with many homss set far back from the street.The appearance oF large amounts af apen space wiCh mature,old growth trees,provides a striking backdrop to the hames.The contrast betwee�n the north side af Finger Avanue an d its sauth side,wfth its many quaint,earty 20�h century bungalows artd cattages,!s something that's unique to Redwaod Clty and treasured by its residents, Examples af how the Finger Avenue l�roject signit3c�ntly degrades the aesthetics af our neighbnrhood are: • Gonstruction of two homes with wfde twc►-story facades set back the mittimum allawable distance frarn the street.�'he��e are no houses that large set that close to the street anywhere in our neighborhood. . 1Vawhere else on Fi�iger Avenue are homes this large plaeed on lnts this small, . All of the homes are af similar size and ai1 two•story,as opposed to the mix of home sizes and heights that are representative of the north siae of Finger Avenue. • Most of these nfne homes wilE be viewable fram the pubiic street.There is Itttle open space and the homes are only set back a smal�distance Fram the narrow that serves Chem (some from 3tt�bft Frorr� the al�eyway.)
