About 54% of students <br /> participated in extended learning for an average of over 90 days of attendance for participants (Exhibit <br /> 10a). Extended learning participants included the highest rate of FRPL participants of any program <br /> category at 84%but a slightly lower rate of English learner students at 74%. Family engagement <br /> programs reached 40%of students at Taft in 2010-11, with parent education programs having the <br /> highest level of participation among family engagement programs at 28%of enrolled students and <br /> average attendance of 16 days through the school year. Participants in family engagement had <br /> generally similar characteristics to participants in other strategy areas. Over 51% of the students at Taft <br /> accessed support services, and these students were about 76%FRPL recipients and 78% English <br /> learners.
