Kennedy 6.1.E. - Page 21 Community school programs reached 67% of Kennedy students in 2010-11. About 52% accessed extended learning opportunities, participating an average of 40 days in 2010-11 (Exhibit 9a). Extended learning participants were 30% English learners and 63%FRPL participants. Family engagement reached 11% of students at Kennedy,with similar rates and days of participation in each type of family engagement program. Students with family engagement included 47%FRPL participants, lower than other program categories. Support programs reached almost 30% of students, and these students tended to be the highest need students with the lowest proficiency rates from the previous year. More than 50% of students who received family assistance were English learners and 72%received FRI'L. Students with no program participation were more likely to be male compared to participants in most program categories with the exception of family engagement. Students with no participation also had lower CST proficiency rates in 2009-10 compared to all program categories except support.
