3.5.11 Two (2) 50-foot, 30-amp, 120-volt shore cables shall be provided. The connection box <br /> shall be the quick disconnect type. The connections shall be located on the starboard side of <br /> the aft cabin/pilothouse bulkhead, at least 24 inches above the deck. <br /> 3.5.12 An isolation transformer(s) shall isolate the 120-volt circuit(s). <br /> 3.5.13 An installed 120-volt distribution system shall be provided, in accordance with the <br /> recommendations and standards of the ABYC, to include: <br /> 3.5.14 Thermostat controlled heater(s) in the cabin/pilothouse. <br /> 3.5.15 Three (3) 20-amp GFI receptacles in the cabin/pilothouse; to include one (1) over the <br /> bench seat, one (1) near the navigation seat area, and one (1) in the engine room. <br /> 3.5.16 One (1) 20-amp GFI receptacle in a weather tight box on the exterior of the aft <br /> cabin/pilothouse bulkhead 24 inches above the deck. <br /> 3.5.17 An automatic battery charger. <br /> 3.5.18 The 120-volt circuit shall be provided with a master circuit breaker, individual <br /> breakers for the circuits identified above and four (4) spare breakers. A master amp meter <br /> and master voltmeter shall be installed at the breaker panel(s)to indicate the total electrical <br /> load for the 120-volt system. <br /> 3.5.19 Switches and circuit breakers in locations where they may be accidentally struck or <br /> activated during normal boat operations shall be fitted with guards to prevent such activation. <br /> All switches controlling clutches of main propulsion and fire pump systems shall be provided <br /> with protective guards Cole-Hersy type or equal. <br /> 3.5.20 Fuses shall be located in readily accessible locations. Fuse and circuit breaker sizes <br /> and locations shall be listed for each item of electrical and electronic equipment and labeled. <br /> 3.5.21 Two 12 volt dc outlets one on port side and one on the starboard interior of pilot house <br /> shall be installed for rechargeable emergency medical equipment. <br /> 3.5.22 Two (2) corrosion control system (630A flush mount electro-guard) one far each drive <br /> and Isolation transformer/Mass GI-15 15 Amp unit. <br /> 3.5.23 Two (2) low wattage heaters to reduce moisture when docked (Xtreme Heat). <br /> 3.5.24 Two (2) 30 amp, 120volt outlets with GFI shall be provided. The connection box shall <br /> be separate from the shore power and located on the starboard side of the aft cabin/pilot <br /> house bulkhead at least 24 inches above the deck with cover and water tight. <br /> 3.5.25 All electrical systems shall be installed such that there shall be no damage to the boat <br /> due to corrosion and electrolysis. Electrical installation shall comply with the <br /> recommendations and standards of the ABYC. All wiring will be coded and labeled. Each <br /> conductor shall be labeled at each end of termination. <br /> 3.5.26 A 12-volt DC and a 120-volt AC electrical distribution system shall be provided. <br /> 3.5.27 One (1)pair of 12-volt batteries, with at least 850 CCA capacities, wired in parallel, <br /> with isolation diodes shall be supplied for each propulsion engine and the fire pump engine <br /> (if installed). These batteries are in addition to any other batteries required for engine <br /> operations. <br /> 3.5.28 A minimum 6.5 kW 120-VAC generator shall be provided and connected to the <br /> 120VAC distribution system. <br /> 3.5.29 The generator engine shall have its own dedicated freshwater heat exchanger, muffler, <br /> exhaust and cooling water system fitted with metal through hull fittings and metal seacocks. <br /> The generator engine shall be equipped with a block heater. The generator shall be operable <br /> throughout the boat's speed range. <br /> 3.5.30 Generator engine starting controls, speed controls, high temperature and low oil <br /> pressure alarms, and hour meter shall be located adjacent to the steering station control <br /> console. <br /> 3.5.31 A 120-volt automatic battery charger shall be provided. <br /> 11 <br />
