A. Approve claims and checks dated February 13, 2012 and the usual and necessary payments through February 27, 2012. (303) MINUTE ORDER 12-031 7. STAFF REPORT(S) Mayor Aguirre made some introductory remarks regarding the appointments. One Council Member noted that a new process was used, where the Council reviewed the applications and selected those for interviewing based on applicants' qualifications and community involvement. She encouraged those who were not appointed to find ways to be helpful and volunteer in this community. She thanked all the applicants for applying. Mayor Aguirre thanked all the applicants and said she felt gratitude for a community that wants to work with the Council in making recommendations and finding solutions. A. Appointments to various Boards, Commissions and Committees' (BCC) seats. (209) Recommendation: Council is requested to make appointments to various BCC seats. Board of Building Review (one unexpired seat ending 5/31/12 and two seats expiring 5/31/14). Applicants for consideration: • Nick Barulich • Richard Allen Hanson (incumbent) • Mike Torres (incumbent) Mr. Barulich was appointed unanimously for the shorter seat. MINUTE ORDER 12-032 One Council Member noted that there might be situations where this Council Member will not be voting for all the seats because in certain cases the applicants may need additional knowledge of the community.
