Jim Gordon, a PAL (Police Activities League) Board Member provided an update on their <br /> activities within the last eight months. He spoke about the planning done did regarding <br /> the recent budget cut, the help they received from the City Manager's Office, <br /> reorganization of structure, hiring their first civilian Director, and the resulting benefits. He <br /> thanked several Council Members for assisting with a fundraiser and spoke about the <br /> need for support from the Council and the public. He introduced their new Executive <br /> Director Mr. Tom Cronin. <br /> Tom Cronin, the new Executive Director of Redwood City PAL (Police Activities League), <br /> said he was pleased, honored, and excited, and that he is looking forward to working with <br /> the PAL Board, Council, and the public. He spoke about looking at new opportunities, <br /> utilizing the building at Taft school, looking at new resources, and how all their programs <br /> are moving forward. He spoke about partnerships with the Parks, Recreation, and <br /> Community Services Department. He expressed his appreciation to the City Council and <br /> the city for their support of PAL's new structure. <br /> M/S Gee/Pierce to approve the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously by <br /> electronic vote with Vice Mayor Aguirre absent. <br /> 6.1 Section - Motions <br /> A. (301) <br /> Minute Order 10-128 <br /> B. Agreement for Preventative Maintenance and Repair of Pumps 8� Motors — <br /> Sanitary Sewer System ITT Flygt Submersible Pumps. (304) <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1. By motion, authorize an Agreement with ITT Water & Wastewater USA, Inc. of <br /> Fairfield, CA in the amount of $156,450 for preventative maintenance and <br /> repair services of various sized ITT Flygt submersible sewage pumps. <br /> Minute Order 10-129 <br /> 2.
