Amendment No. 1 to the Development Agreement with R.C. Peninsula Park, <br /> LLC. (304)S <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Hold Public Hearing and introduce an Ordinance approving First Amendment to <br /> the Development Agreement by and befinreen the City of Redwood City and R.C. <br /> Peninsula Park, LLC, for the development of the Peninsula Park development <br /> project. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BY <br /> AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND R.C. PENINSULA PARK, <br /> LLC FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PENINSULA PARK DEVELOPMENT <br /> PROJECT <br /> Minute Order 10-174 <br /> Peter Ingram, City Manager explained the item before Council and how long this has <br /> been in the works. He noted how the scale of the project, the site plan and the number <br /> of units has changed and what is before Council is a Development Agreement to <br /> reconcile the changes to the site plan. He added that all agreements have been <br /> negotiated in good faith with the developer and the city. Mr. Ingram highlighted the <br /> three pieces that were before Council. He announced that the last finro replaced in <br /> totality the prior documents. Mr. Vorametsanti, Senior Engineer, shared the differences <br /> in the restated financial plan. <br /> Various Council Member.s thanked the developer and concurred with the Development <br /> Agreement. Council addressed the public benefit and how the developer has gone <br /> above and beyond what is required. Chair Pierce commended Mr. Powers' integrity and <br /> perseverance. <br /> M/S Gee/Seybert to introduce the ordinance. Motion carried 4-0 by roll call vote with <br /> Council Members Ira, Aguirre and Foust absent <br /> C. STAFF REPORT <br /> A. City Manager Oral Report on Continuation of Local Emergency Status. <br /> City Manager Ingram briefly touched on San Bruno's emergency. He explained that <br /> Senior Engineer Vorametsanti has been doing research on the pipelines that are going <br /> through Redwood City and there is a requirement to follow state rules and standards. <br /> He assured Council that USA procedures are followed. In regards to our own <br /> emergencies he provided a synopsis of the finro recent events that occurred in Redwood <br /> Shores. As of today the expenses have been about $66,--- excluding staff time.
