any of the three years in the funding cycle, (b) a significant portion of SHD's <br /> property tax revenues are borrowed or otherwise taken by the State of California, <br /> (c) SHD's Directors discontinue the allocation of funding to the Healthy Schools <br /> initiative Program, or (d) CITY fails to fund positions or programming described in <br /> this MOU or fails to substantially comply with its obligations under this MOU. <br /> 2. CITY may terminate this agreement as follow: <br /> a. In the event that SHD does not provide funding as identified herein; <br /> b. CITY may decline such fundin� for any reason; <br /> c. CITY determines that it is unable to hire qualified personnel within the <br /> funding amounts secured through this Agreement; <br /> d. CITY and RCSD are unabte to come to agreement regarding the terms of <br /> the program that the City intends to provide with SHD funds. <br /> 3. In the event that any of the program partners described herein (SHD, CITY, or <br /> RCSD) discontinue participation in the program described herein, the obligations <br /> of SHD and CITY to perform under this Agreement automatically terminate. <br /> 4. If this Agreement is terminated durin� any grant cycle, CITY shall return any <br /> unspent grant funds to SHD. <br /> IV. Goals and Mutual Objectives <br /> Understanding these limitations, for Year 1 of the SHD granting funding, these are the goals and <br /> objectives: <br /> Gool 1: PCC runs a PE Plus program but currently may only extend to five schools. <br /> City would support the PE Plus pro�ram developed by PCC and extend the reach of <br /> the physical education program to five additional schools, beginning in the 2012-2013 <br /> school year. PCC would teach at 5 of the 7 schools where they have been teaching, <br /> and City would take on two of those schools plus 3 additional ones where they are <br /> embedded through their Afterschool Pro�ram. <br /> Target Schools- City will conduct programming at 5 of the 10 schools listed below, the final <br /> selection of which will be memorialized in a separate agreement between CITY and RCSD: <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.090/HEALTHY SCHOOLS MOU <br /> REV:07-03-12 JS <br /> Memorandum of Understanding <br /> Sequoia Healthcare District/City of Redwood City <br /> Healthy Schools Initiative 2012-1013 <br /> 2 <br />
