City Hall parking lot, 1017 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City, CA 94063
2. Community Activities Building (CAB) parking Iot,1400 Roosevelt Ave, Redwood City, CA
94061
3. Fair Oaks Community Center parking lot, 2600 M iddlefield Rd, Redwood City, CA 94061
4. Police Facility parking lot, 1301 Maple St, Redwood City, CA 94063
5. Main Library parking lot, 1044 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City, CA 94063
6. Redwood Shores Library parking lot, 399 Marine Pkwy, Redwood City, CA 94065
7. Red Morton Community Center parking lot, 1120 Roosevelt Ave, Redwood City, CA
94061
8. Police Facility,1301 Maple St, Redwood City, CA 94063
9. Marshall Street Garage, 750 M arshall St, Redwood City, CA 94063
SCOPE OF WORK:
Consultant shall perform the following services:
TASK 1. PRELIMINARY SITE REVIEW
Energy Solutions shall conduct a preliminary site review for the sites nominated above by the
City. For the purpose of this activity, a single building or a parking lot is defined as a"site."
TASK 1.1: Total Generation Potential
Energy Solutions shall determine an estimated maximum system size and associated
generation potential based on readily available site information, including the available area f or
the Photo Voltaic(PV) system; the desired PV system type (roof, parking shade structure, or
ground mount); site orientation; shading constraints as informed by the participating agencies as
well as satellite Google Earth, Bing Maps, or other visual resources; and the typical solar
resources available in that geographic area, based on information from the National Renewable
Energy Laboratory's (NREL) PV WattsT"" Grid Data calculator(version 2) or other comparable
data sources. Energy Solutions shall also use information about installed solar PV systems in
the area, which shall be obtained through the California Solar Statistics website, to inform
preliminary generation potential estimates.
TASK 1.2: Optimized System Size
Energy Solutions shall refine the system size recommendation based on readily available data
on the site's current energy load, annual energy usage, and other relevant factors. The
preliminary recommended system size shall be appropriately sized to optimize the benefit to the
City. The estimated generation potential shall also be refined accordingly.
TASK 1.3: Initial Economic Feasibility Study
ATTY/AGR/2012.091/ENERGY SOLUTIONS
REV:07-23-12 VR
