If at this preliminary stage, it is evident that certain sites would not be eligible or suita ble for one
or more of the financial incentives or financing options, E nergy Solutions shall clearly state this
in the Final Report.
TASK 2.4: Conclusions and Recommendations
The results of Tasks 2.1 through 2.3 will be documented in a single detailed Final Report for the
City. The Final Report will provide the City with the information required to make informed
decisions about proceeding to procurement. In addition, the Final Report w ill provide bidders
with the information needed to develop acc urate proposals.
DELIVERABLE
2) Final Report.
TASK 3. ENERGY EFFICIENCY AUDITS (OPTIONAL)
The energy efficiency analysis is optional. The City of Redwood City may, in its sole and
absolute discretion, elect to engage Energy Solutions to perform an energy efficiency analysis
for selected sites. S uch election and the fee for these services will be memorialized by written
amendment of this Agreement approved by the City and Consultant.
At the City's discretion, Energy Solutions may conduct energy efficiency audits at all sites that
will receive Final Reports. Efficiency audits will allow Energy Solutions to provide more informed
recommendations on appropriate system sizing and facilitate the installation of a PV system that
is right-sized rather than oversiz ed. The energy efficiency assessments below would fulfill the
energy audit requirement for the CSI rebate.
TASK 3.1: Lighting
Energy Solutions shall conduct lighting audits at each site. Lighting audits w ill include the
following:
Task 3.1.1: Pre-Audit Data Collection
Energy Solutions shall obtain from City staff, specific information about the lighting sy stems in
the participating facilities including previous lighting studies, site plans, past retrofit/replacement
project descriptions, occupancy trends, fixture details, and information on any special
considerations related to lighting design m ay not be available for all facilities. If the requested
information is not available, Energy Solutions shall work with City staff to arrive at realistic
assumptions to use in lieu of the missing data. Energy Solutions shall also seek the City's
current project evaluation criteria, including c ost and payback thresholds.
Task 3.1.2: Site Visits
Energy Solutions shall conduct site visits, which will include a detailed lighting survey and a
discussion with City staff on their priorities and special needs relating to lighti ng that will guide
our retrofit recommendations.
ATTY/AGR/2012.091/ENERGY SOLUTIONS
REV:07-23-12 VR
