Task 3.3.3: Feasibility Analysis
Using data gathered in Task 3.3.2, Energy Solutions shall analyze the feasibility of prospective
wireless HVAC controls projects. Energy Solutions will customize its calculator tool to specific
projects and sites (e.g. customizing the tool to model systems with multiple operating schedules,
with unusual duct structures, or with no mechanical cool ing onsite). Any assumptions made in
the analysis will be designed to produce conservative estim ates of project energy savings and
will be disclosed to the agencies in the audit report.
Task 3.3.4: Audit Report
Energy Solutions shall summarize energy savings and project financials in an audit report,
providing the agency with the information needed to make a decision about whether or not to
implement the project.
TASK 3.4: Benchmarking
The California Solar Initiative (CS I) requires commercial buildings with over 100,000 square feet
of conditioned floor space to benchmark their energy use intensity (facilities with a benchmark
rating of less than 75 must also perform retro-commissioning before claiming the CSI rebate).
Energy Solutions shall perform the following tasks to benchmark participating facilities on
Energy
Portfolio Manager.
• Collect general building information and building space use attributes from
maintenance/building staff.
• Create ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account.
. Enter facility information into the E NERGY STAR Portfolio Manager benchmarking tool.
. Train building staff on how to interpret benchm arking results.
DELIVERABLES
3) Audit Report.
4) Benchmarking Analysis Results: a Statement of Energy Performance (includes the
performance rating) and Energy Performance Report.
TASK 4. FIELD INVESTIGATIONS AND MEETINGS
Energy Solutions shall conduct additional as needed field investigations and meetings, with
compensation billed on a time and materials basis and not to exceed $1,000.
TIME SCHEDULE and SUBMITTALS:
ATTY/AGR/2012.091/ENERGY SOLUTIONS
REV:07-23-12 VR
