. A preliminary recommendation regarding the facility's suitability for wireless lighting
controls.
. Narrative summarizing the recommendations and any appropriate points of clarification.
. Discussion of next steps for implementation.
TASK 3.2: Computer Power Management
Energy Solutions shall assist the City in evaluating opportunities for energy savings from
computer power management, including collecting the following information from the City:
. The number of computers on site,
. The current operating system (XP, Vista, etc.), and
. Any current computer power management strategies already in place.
Based on this information, Energy Solutions will provide an estimate of energy savings, project
costs (including software licenses, if applicable), and project payback associated with this
measure; then summarize and present the information to the City.
Task 3.3: Wireless HVAC Controls
Energy Solutions shall evaluate the facilities' suitability for wireless HVAC controls, which can
significantly reduce electricity and natural gas usage, improve the facility operator's control and
monitoring of the building equipment, as well as enable the City to more easily implement
demand response and permanent load shifting strategies (along with collecting associated
incentives for participating in utility demand response programs).
Task 3.3.1: Facility Screening
Energy Solutions shall collect basic information on the HVAC equipment currently used at the
City's facilities to calculate general estimates of baseline energy usage and savings
opportunities; and to m ake an initial determination of the facilities' suitability for wireless HVAC
controls.
Task 3.3.2: Data Collection and Site Visits
If sufficient information can be provided to Energy Solutions, including up-to-date drawings and
plans, and operating information; an on-site audit may not be necessary. If a site visit is
necessary, Energy Solutions shall walk through the facility and interview City staff to determine
the make, model numbers, and quantities of relevant equipment, confirm hours of building
operation, and identify other critical operational and design parameters.
Energy Solutions shall collect any information not available at the time of the audit through
subsequent email and phone communications with the City. In cases where Energy Solutions
cannot obtain all the required information, Energy Solutions shall use standard assumptions
based on previous experience with similar projects.
ATTY/AGR/2012.091/ENERGY SOLUTIONS
REV:07-23-12 VR
