6.4.B. - Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION ABOLISHING THE DELIVERY DRIVER/STOCK <br /> CLERK AND CENTRAL STORES SPECIALIST CLASSIFICATIONS <br /> WHEREAS, the needs of the City Clerk's Office have evolved and the need for a <br /> central intra-departmental mail system is no longer necessary; and <br /> WHEREAS, based on an analysis, it was determined that it would be appropriate <br /> to restructure the City Clerk's Office in an effort to provide more efficient and effective <br /> service; and <br /> WHEREAS, abolition of the central intra-departmental mail system requires the <br /> elimination of the Delivery Driver/ Stock Clerk and Central Stores Specialist; and <br /> WHEREAS, the functions of the Delivery Driver/Stock Clerk and Central Stores <br /> Specialist classifications are rendered moot by the proposed restructuring of the City <br /> Clerk's Office. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Amend the City's Classification Plan to eliminate the Delivery Driver/Stock <br /> Clerk classification. <br /> 2.
