8.A. - Page 107 Mitigation: MM CUL—2: The project ap�licar�t shall install screening vegetation along the project site's westerly property line that within 2 years wili reach a minimum height of]6 f�et and which shall be of a species type, as indicated in Figure 2.1-5 Prefiminary Landscape Plan, that wil� comp]ete2y block views ofthe entire project from the adjacent Finger Farrn House year-round. Finding: Irnplementation ofMM CUL—2 would furCher reduce indirect impacts to the adjacent Finger Farm House below a less than significant level. Facts in Support of Finding: Implementatian of MM CUL—2 would screen the new homes with vegetation pianted along the praperty line so that the homes would not substantially contribute to the Finger Farm House setting as described in Section 2.t —Cultural Resources of the Draft EiR on pages 32-49, which is hereby incorporated by reference. Impact: Impact CUL—4: Future development under the proposed project could result in the exposure ar destruction af subsurface archaeological resources. Mitigation: MM CY7L--4: A qualified professional shall prepare and implement a Cultural Resources Managemen�Plan (CRMP)to ensure that the proposed praject would not cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of an archaeological resource. The P1an shall include the following elements: • The project applicant sha�l iclentify a qualified archaeologist prior to any demolition, excavation, or canstruction. The City shal� approve the selected archaeoiogist prior t4 issuance af the grading permit. The project archaeologist shall attend the pre-gtading meeting to discuss how to recognize archaeological resources in the soil during grading aciiviti�s. The prirne construction contractor and any subcontractor{s) shall be cautioned on the legal and/or regulatory implications of knowingly destroying cult�ral resources ar removing artifacts, human remains, and other cultural materials from the project site. • The archaeologist shai] perform spot check monitoring during gading and subsur�'ace construction and watch for and evaluate artifacts or resaurces that may be uncaverecl. The archaeologist shall aiso have the authority to temporarily haIt excavation and construction activities in the immediate vicinity(within a SO-meter radius)of a find if significant or potentially significant cultura] resaurces are exposed and/or adversaly afi'ected by construetion operations. Reasonable time will be allawed for the qualified archaeologist to natify the proper authorities for a more detailed inspection and examination af the expased cultural rasources.
