City Council Appointments to the Planning and Port Commissions and <br /> the Library Board and Consideration of an Additional Appointment to an Unfilled <br /> Seat <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1) Staff requests that the City Council make appointments (by roll call <br /> vote) to the Planning and Port Commissions and the Library Board, and 2) consider, by <br /> motion, the appointment of an applicant, that was interviewed, to fill an unfilled seat on <br /> either the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission or the Senior Affairs <br /> Commission. <br /> Applicants for the Library Boards' three seats: <br /> -Reina Barragan (incumbent) <br /> -Loretta Farris <br /> -Ron Susek <br /> -Barbara Valley (incumbent) <br /> There are two full seats expiring 6/30/2016 and one short seat expiring 6/30/2014. <br /> Council appointed Reina Barragan (five votes) and Barbara Valley (six votes) to <br /> the longer seats, and Ron Susek (six votes) to the shorter seat. Though <br /> unsuccessful, Ms. Farris received a vote from Mayor Aguirre. Council Member Ira <br /> was absent. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 12-135 <br /> Applicants for the Planning Commission's two seats: <br /> -Kevin Bondonno (incumbent) <br /> -Josephine A. Thompson <br /> -Shawn White (incumbent) <br /> The two full seats expire 6/30/2016. <br /> Council appointed Mr. Kevin Bondonno (six votes) and Mr. Shawn White (five <br /> votes) to the two seats on the Planning Commission.
