Dear Councilmembers: The 2Q11-2012 Grand dury filed a report on Iuly 17,2012 which cantains findings and recommendations perEaining to your agency. Your agency must submit comments, within 90 days, to the Hon. Gera[d 1. Buchwa[d. Your agency's response is due no later than October l5, 2Q12. Piease note that the response should indicate that it was approved by your governing body at a public meeting. For a13 findings,your responding agency shall indicate one of the following: L The respandent agrees with the finding. 2. The respondent disagrees w�olly or partially with the finding, in which case the response shatI specify ihe portcon afthe fnding that is dispated and shall include an explanation ofthe reasons therefore. Additional[y, as to each Grand Jury recommendation, your responding agency shall report one of the following actions: 1. The recommendation has been implemented,with a summary regarcEing the implemented action. 2. The recommendation has not yet been implemented, but will be implemented in the future, with a time frarne for irnplerrientation, 3. The recommendation requires further analysis, with an explanation and the scope and parameters of an analysis or study, and a time frame far the mat�er to be prepared for discussion by the officer or director of the agency or department being investigated or reviewed, including the governing body of the public agency when applicab[e. This time frame shall nat exceed six months from the date of publication of the Grand dury report, 4. The recommendation will not be implemented because it is not warranted or reasonable, with an explanation therefore.
