6.1.E. - Page 132 <br /> 8. C1TY AUDIT,_ MON�TORING. City may audit the records and <br /> accounts of Contractor for the purpose of verifying expenditures by Contractor of <br /> funds provided by City pursuan� to this Agreement or verifying statements or <br /> analyses made or provided by Contractor under this Agreement, Contractor wilf <br /> promptiy respond ta, and compfy with, any audit exception made ar taken by City <br /> or appropriate federal ag�ncies refating to Contractor's performance ar #ailure to <br /> perform under this Agreemen#. Contractar will, upon demand by City, pay City <br /> the full amount awir�g to City or to the United States Gavernment as a result of <br /> any such a�dit exception. <br /> City will manitor Contractor's Project and expenditures made pursuant to <br /> this Agreement quart�rly to verify Contractor's campliance with this Agreement <br /> and local and federal contract require�m�nts. Con#ractor shall cooperate with City <br /> and provide all documents and infQr�-r�ation request�d by City in a timely and <br /> accurate fashion. <br /> 9. REC�RD RETENTION. Contractor shall retain all financial, <br /> supporting documents, statistical records, and al! other records pertinent to the <br /> Agreement for a period of four (4) years. The r�tention period begins on fhe date <br /> of the submission of the City`s Comprehensive AnnuaE Performance & Evaluation <br /> Report (CAP�R) to HUD in which the activities assist�d under the Agreement are <br /> reported on for the final time. Notwithstanding the above, if there is litigation, <br /> claims, audits, negotiations ar other actions that involve any of the records cited, <br /> and that ha�e started before the expira#ion of #he four-year period, then such <br /> records must be retained until compfetion nf the actions and resolutian of all <br /> issues, or the expiratjon of the faur year period, whichever acc�ars later. <br /> 10. ACCESS TO RECORDS.
