6.1.E. - Page 221 <br /> 8. CITY. AUDI7; MONITQRING. City may audit the recards and <br /> accounts of Contractor for the purpose of verifying expenditures by Contractar of <br /> funds provided by City pursuant to this Agreement or �erifying statem�nts or <br /> anafyses made or pravided by Contractor under this Agreement. Contractor will <br /> prom�tly respond ta, and comply with, any audit exception made or taken by City <br /> or appropriate federal agencies relating to Cantractor's perfnrmanc� or fai�t�re to <br /> perform under this Agreement. Contractor will, upon demand by City, pay City <br /> the full amount owing to City or to tF�e Uni#ed States Gavernment as a result of <br /> any such audit exception. <br /> City will monitor Contractor's Project and expenditures made pursuant to <br /> this Agreement quarter�y to �erify Contractor's compliance with this Agreemen# <br /> and local and federal contract requirements. Contractor shall coapera�e with Cfty <br /> and provide all documents and informatian requested by City in a fimely and <br /> accurate fashion. <br /> 9. RECORD RETENTION. Contractar shall retain all financial, <br /> supporting documents, statistical records, and all other records pertinent to th� <br /> Agreement for a period of four (4) years. The retention period begins on the date <br /> of the submission of the City's Comprehensive Annual Performance & Evaluation <br /> Report (CAP�R} to HUD in which the activities assisted under the Agreement are <br /> repor#ed on far the final time. Nfltwithstanding the abave, if there is litigation, <br /> claims, audits, negotiations or ather actions that invalve any of the records cited, <br /> and that ha�s start�d before the expiration of the four-y�ar period, then such <br /> records must be retained until carnple�tion of the actions and resoiution of all <br /> issues, ar the expiration af th� four year periad, whichever occurs late�. <br /> 10. ACCESS TO RECORDS.
