NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> The City of Redwood City requests that the following <br /> procedure be utilized for the distribution of the Federal Aid <br /> for Safer Off-Systems (SOS) Road Funds: <br /> (a) The Director of Public Works is appointed as the <br /> respresentative of the City of Redwood City to the San Mateo <br /> County Technical Advisory Committee. <br /> (b) The San Mateo County Technical Advisory Committee shall <br /> determine the procedures and criteria for the distribution of <br /> said SOS Funds between the County of San Mateo and cities within <br /> this county. <br /> (c) The San Mateo County Technical Advisory Committee <br /> shall determine the fund distribution as delineated by such <br /> adopted procedures and criteria. <br /> (d) The distribution of said SOS Funds shall be approved <br /> by the representatives of a majority of the cities (determined <br /> by the majority of the population of this county pursuant to <br /> federal procedures) within this county. <br /> (e) Procedures and criteria which are established for <br /> the distribution of said SOS Funds shall be transmitted to the <br /> Board of Supervisors for approval. <br /> (f) The Board of Supervisors shall transmit said procedures <br /> and criteria to the Director of the Department of Transportation <br /> for approval. <br />
