However, Consultant suggests using the following significance standards which are currently used by the CARB as well as ather Air Districts. Based on Consulfant's sugges#ed threshplds, TAC exposures in excess ofi the following thresholds would be considered to have a significant air qual�ty impact on on-site and off-site receptors if: � Probability of contracting cancer exce�ds 1 x 9 0-5 (10 in a millio�); b Ambient concentrations resu�t in Hls greater than 9; • Ambient annual average of fine particulata matter (DPM or PM2.5) concentrafions increase greater than Q.3 Ng/m3. The �roposed project includes the construction of an on-site child care facility, wt�ich is considered a sensitiVe receptor, es�ecially considering the �roximity to a TAC emission source {US 101). However, based on informatian includec! in t�e application, t#�e proposed child care facilEty wauld only be available ta gym members and a single child is �of expected to be on site for more than two hours per day. As such, the BAAQMD would not require an operational health risk assessment for this component of�he prQposed project. Biological Resources Consultant's �Oiologist will conduct the following tasks: � Conduct background research to determine the biologica! resources that could be affected by the praposed project such as spec�al-status species or protected trees. This research will use tl�e California Departrr�ent of Fish and Game's Natural Diversity Data Base (CNDDB), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Special-Status Species Onl�ne Database, and the California Native Plant Saciety's on�ine in�entory. An aerial �Ohotograph af the praject site will be reviewed to identify areas of habitat types tt�at can IateT be confiirmed through fie�d verification. • Evaluate the proposed projecYs effects on the identified biological resaurces, and recommend mitigation as warrar�ted. Based on prior experience in the region, and the distur6ed nature of the site, if any issues were to arise, Consultant anticipates that the prominent issues for the �roposed praject will be limited to migratory birds and roosting bats within t�e vacant b�ilding.
