EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES CONSULTANT TASKS Task 1. Proiect Initiation/Data Collection Purpose: Consultant will initiate the Initial Study (IS) effort by discussing key issues, reviewing past relevant environmental documents prepared by the City, planning data collection efforts, conducting a site visit, and reviewing site plans and preliminary studies submitted to the City by the applicant. Discussion: At the outset of the Initial Study process, Consultant will meet with the City to go over the following: • Discuss data needs to complete the Initial Study; • Review and agree on schedules, deadlines, and general process; • Discuss revised plans and preliminary studies; and • Discuss the proposed environmental baseline. The project initiation effort will also include review of the revised site plans and preliminary reports submitted to the City by the Applicant. Consultant will provide feedback to City on reports as necessary and ensure that all information required for the environmental review is included. Consultant Deliverables: • Written data request for the City. • Written comments on site plans and studies. City Involvement: Participation in project initiation meeting and collection of requested information. Task 2. Prepare Proiect Description Purpose: Prepare a project description for the proposed project input from City staff, and review of the new site plans and other application materials. Discussion: In order to prepare the Initial Study, a clear and accurate project description must be prepared. This project description will be included in the Initial Study and any additional subsequent CEQA documentation. Based on materials submitted to the City by the Applicant, Consultant will prepare a project description to incorporate the following topics: • Project overview and background • Project site location • Project objectives • Project characteristics including: ATTYlAGR/2012.154/24 HOUR CONTRACT/ATKINS NORTH AMERICA REV:09-19-12 JS Page 9 of 26
