EXHIBIT"A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND TIME SCHEDULE <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> Automated Sorting and Main Library Counter Streamlining Project consisting of work flow <br /> improvements to Main Library lobby and addition of automated sorting equipment to the Main <br /> and Redwood Shores libraries. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br /> Consultant shall provide conceptual design plans, and prepare constructi on plans, specifications <br /> and final cost estimates for modifications to the Main Library lobby to improve work flow. <br /> Consultant shall design, and prepare construction plans, specifications and final cost estimates <br /> to incorporate automated sorting equipment at the Main and Redwood Shores libraries. <br /> Consultant shall provide structural, mechanical and electrical engineering design as required. <br /> Consultant shall work within the city's preliminary cost estimates for the project as follows. <br /> • Automated sorting equipment at Redwood Shores Library...$15,000 <br /> • Automated sorting equipment at Main Library...$72,500 <br /> • Lobby modifications at Main Library...$76,500 <br /> Consultant shall immediately notify city staff at any indication that final cost estimate may <br /> exceed preliminary cost estimate. <br /> Architectural and Design Services: <br /> 1. Conceptual Design -- Fixed fee$4,440.00 <br /> A. Redwood Shores Library <br /> i. City shall provide conceptual design from City's RFID vendor to the Consultant <br /> for use in preparing improvement drawings. <br /> B. Main Library <br /> i. Staff Engagement <br /> a. Consultant shall coordinate design issues and work plan with the Library <br /> Director(may not exceed a total of four hours). <br /> b. Consultant shall facilitate one (1) workshop with city staff to receive input on <br /> automated sorting bins and lobby redesign. <br /> ii. Automated Sorting <br /> a. Consultant shall deliver three (3) concepts for up to four(4) slots <br /> - Interior only slots <br /> -Exterior only slots <br /> - Both interior and exterior slots. <br /> iii. Consultant shall refine two (2) of the three concepts for further review and <br /> consideration by city staff. Five (5) copies of the conceptual design shall be <br /> submitted to the City.
