He agreed with other comments from other Council Members regarding <br /> other properties, however with regard to Bradford, he would like staff to do more <br /> research and make sure the money stays here and benefits Redwood City. Mayor <br /> Aguirre noted the need for parking offers a great opportunity to partner and provide <br /> options to the community. Mayor Aguirre concurred with all the other comments and <br /> she views the Corporation Yard as a true gem. <br /> 9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. City Council Member Report of Conferences Attended <br /> B. City Council Committee Reports <br /> Council Member Pierce spoke about earlier comments regarding Pete's Harbor and <br /> asked for additional information on some items. Specifically, this Council Member <br /> sought questions to the following items: Bay Conservation Development Commission <br /> Plan, the state lease property, the concept of the 10-year Environmental Impact Report <br /> and if that will be addressed at the Planning Commission meeting. She opined that it is <br /> important to be mindful of sea level rise and then she specifically asked what the <br /> Planning Commission will look at on October 16, 2012. <br /> Mr. Ekern responded that the Planning Commission will review the Planned <br /> Development Permit and the Tentative Vesting Map. Mr. Ekern said that since the <br /> project complies with the Zoning, that is the end of the process. He made additional <br /> comments regarding Measure Q and its history. <br /> Mayor Aguirre said that last week she was able to tour the SIMS plant and the <br /> Westpoint Marina. She also congratulated the Port Commission for its Port Fest and <br /> congratulated the Planning Commission for winning the rowing race. Upcoming events <br /> were noted for the benefit of the community. <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update — None. <br /> 10.
