He also <br /> believes there is a lack of transparency in city government with regards to money and <br /> politics and their hope is that more people will care and ask questions. <br /> Shaunn Cartwright, with Occupy San Jose, said to keep in mind that we are all <br /> interconnected on the Peninsula and there is a need to fight together and to fight <br /> against what is wrong. She is proud of her fight on the issue of Salfinrorks and she <br /> opined that there has not been enough transparency in government and spoke against <br /> officials serving on two boards and just not voting is not sufficient. <br /> Council Member Ira interjected and said that Ms. Cartwright is addressing items on the <br /> agenda and the Mayor had been clear at the beginning of the meeting. Ms. Cariwright <br /> said she was expressing her views and maybe it was time to oust a Council Member. <br /> Mayor Aguirre thanked Ms. Cartwright and said she crossed the line of respect and she <br /> encouraged her to show respect. Ms. Cartwright disagreed stating she did not feel she <br /> was disrespecting anybody and her time was not up. Mayor Aguirre said that the <br /> laughing and the smirking will not be tolerated in the Chambers. <br /> Hanns Lee, with Lowe Enterprises, said he is one of finro teams that is privileged to <br /> submit one of two proposals for downtown development. He is here to reintroduce <br /> himself and said that on behalf of their team, they are looking forward to sharing their <br /> proposal in finro weeks. <br /> Ramona Ambrozic said she is speaking for members of Redwood City Neighbors <br /> United. She expressed their pleasure with the General Plan winning the Comprehensive <br /> Planning award from the American Planning Association for outstanding achievement <br /> (for 2012 Small Jurisdiction). She opined that the City has an opportunity to make it (the <br /> General Plan) a reality and the trick to getting more people downtown is through more <br /> housing. <br /> M/S Ira/Seybert to approve the Consent Calendar excluding items 6.1A and 6.2A. <br /> Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. <br /> Council Member Foust left the dais. <br /> M/S Seybert/Bain to approve agenda item 6.2A. Motion carried 6-0 by voice vote <br /> with Council Member Foust recused. <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Waive reading of the consent calendar and the full text of ordinances <br /> and resolutions, and approve the Consent Calendar items. <br /> 1.
