COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br /> FOR THE <br /> PURCHASE AND MAINTENANCE OF <br /> MOBILE TRAINING SIMULATORS <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, effective as of June 1, 2003, is made by snd between the <br />CITY OF BRISBANE, a municipal corporation ("Brisbane"), the CITY OF BURLINGAME, <br />a municipal corporation CBurlingsme"), the COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO, a public agency, <br />the COLMA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, a fire district ¢'Colma"), the CITY OF DALY <br />CITY, a municipal corporation CDaly City"), the CITY OF FOSTER CITY, a municipal <br />corporation (.'Foster City"), the HALF MOON BAY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, a fire <br />district ("Half Moon Bay"), the TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH, a municipal corporation <br />(.'Hillsborough"), the MENLO PARK FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, a fire district <br />("Menlo Park"), the CITY OF MILLBRAE, a municipal corporation ("Millbrae"), the CITY <br />OF PACIFICA, a municipal corporation CPacifica"), the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation ("Redwood City"), the CITY OF SAN BRUNO, a municipal <br />corporation ("San Bruno"), CITY OF SAN MATEO, a municipal corporation ("San Mateo"), <br />the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a public agency, SOUTH COUNTY FIRE AUTHORITY, a <br />joint powers agency ("South County"), the CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, a <br />municipal corporation ("South San Francisco"), and the WOODSIDE FIRE PROTECTION <br />DISTRICT, a fire district CWoodside"). All of the parties to this Agreement are collectively <br />referred to as the SAN MATEO COUNTY TRAINING GROUP CSMCTG"). <br /> <br /> Recitals: <br /> <br /> A. It is to the mutual advantage of the members of SMCTG to acquire mobile <br />training fire simulators ("simulators") needed for the training of their personnel ~nd the <br />efficient operation of their respective fire departments. <br /> <br /> B. It would not be economical for any individual city, fire district or town to <br />purchase and operate the simulators. <br /> <br /> C. The members of SMCTG have agreed to contribute a portion of the cost of <br />acquiring, m~iut~ining, and operating the ~imulators for their shared use, in accordance <br />with the terms of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Term: <br /> <br /> The term of this Agreement shall commence as of June 1, 2003, and shall continue <br /> indefinitely until terminated as provided in Section 13. <br /> <br />2. Administration of Agreement: <br /> <br /> Brisbane is hereby designated as the administrator of this Agreement and shall act <br /> as the agent of SMCTG for purposes of purchase and maintenance of the simulators. <br /> <br /> Rev. 7/21/03 - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
