operators to respond with the status of their facilities may result in delays to the schedule that
is outside of Consultant's control.
• Drumming, testing and off-site disposal of drill spoils are not in the scope of work.
• This scope of services specifically excludes the assessment of environmental characteristics at
the site, particularly those involving hazardous substances beyond naturally occurring levels. If
obviously impacted materials are encountered during our geotechnical exploration,
Consultant will discontinue its work and provide notice of the condition encountered.
Consultant will proceed with its geotechnical scope of work once the parties mutually agree to
do so. Added costs incurred because of suspected hazardous substances will be charged on a
time -and -expense basis in addition to the fee for the site investigation with the consent of the
City Engineer.
• The owner will provide site access/permission to enter at the time of scheduled drilling.
• The site is accessible to track -mounted drill rig equipment.
• Some disturbance to the ground surface and vegetation may occur because of accessing the
desired locations of subsurface exploration. Although Consultant will be careful to limit the
extent of such occurrences, they cannot be avoided and this scope of services does not
include any costs to re -grade, re -vegetate, landscape or otherwise repair disturbed areas.
• The scope of work excludes any investigation, analysis, or reporting on any associated parts of
the project (e.g. pipelines, etc.) not discussed in this scope of services.
• Site specific seismic analysis, the development of site specific spectra, or the production of
scaled ground motions are not a part of the scope of work.
• Geotechnical observation and testing during construction are not part of the scope of work. A
scope of work for these services can be provided upon request once final design plans and/or
a detailed project schedule are available.
TASK 12 — ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (IEC)
• Final EIR Review and Coordination — liaison between environmental services subconsultants
and the City for the following activities:
o Biological Consultation
o Cultural Consultation
o Asbestos Consultation
• Prepare 100% technical specifications addressing the requirements of the Project EIR MMRP
and additional environmental technical studies noted in Tasks 13 and 14.
• Prepare and submit a City Tree Permit.
• Landscape Plan Coordination — review the landscape plans for conformance with the
environmental requirements of the Project EIR.
TASK 13 — ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (MIG)
MIG will provide the following services for pre -construction biological surveys to comply with
measures BIO -1, BIO -2, BIO -3, and part of BIO -6 of the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program
(MMRP) for the Project. The MMRP, prepared pursuant to CEQA guidelines, requires pre -construction
biological surveys for nesting birds, roosting bats, and San Francisco dusky -footed woodrat and
requires removal of invasive, non-native plants on the parcel.
Subtask 1. Nestin¢ Bird Survev (Measure BIO -1)
To comply with Measure BIO -1, MIG we will conduct one survey for nesting raptors and othertree and
ground -nesting birds within five days prior to the proposed start of construction related activities,
including vegetation grubbing/removal, fence installation, grading, etc. All trees and shrubs within 250
Page 9 of 23
REV: 08-16-17 PR
ATTY/AGR.Amendment No. 1/Infrastructure Engineering Corporation - CA Tank
