Clerical Assistant <br /> <br /> Performs all cledcal functions including typing, filing, and general office <br /> administration. Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining all records <br /> including scale slips and preparing required reports. Also maintains processing' <br /> records and compost quality and marketing records. <br /> <br /> Equipment Operators (4) <br /> <br /> Responsible for the operation of heavy equipment (front-end loaders rotary <br /> shredder, and windrow turner). One of the operators will also be responsible for the <br /> maintenance of the equipment. <br /> <br /> Sorters/Spotters (4) <br /> <br /> Responsible for final segregation of compostable materials at the tipping area and <br /> directing traffic. Will be trained in hazardous material recognition and handling <br /> procedures. Patrols site for litter. Maintains test plot areas. <br /> <br /> Product Market Specialist <br /> <br />Responsible for the continuing end product market development requirements of the <br />facility. Will sell/distribute all products. Perform direct sales calls to growers, <br />nurseries, and commercial and residential landscapers. Will review compost quality <br />control procedures and records; perform regular market surveys and interviews; <br />attend and present papers at conferences and trade shows. Supervise the test <br />plots, perform public relations functions such as tours and education activities, and <br />coordinate all advertising. <br /> <br /> Personnel Training <br /> <br /> All facility personnel will be trained in BFI health and safety programs. BFI has <br /> extensive on-going training programs in equipment operations, hazardous matedal <br /> recognition and emergency response procedures.
