1 2.34 Service Area <br /> 2 "Service Area" means that territory within, and, if applicable, outside Agency's <br /> 3 boundaries with respect to which Agency exercises franchising authority for the <br /> 4 collection of Solid Waste, which territory is shown on a map on file in the office <br /> 5 of Agency's Manager, to which reference is hereby made for the description of <br /> 6 said Area. <br /> <br />7 2.35 Single Family Dwelling Unit <br />8 "Single Family Dwelling Unit" means each premises used for or designated as a <br />9 single family residential dwelling, including each unit of a duplex, triplex, or <br />10 fourplex, in all cases in which there is separate or individual Solid Waste <br />11 Collection service. <br /> <br />12 2.36 Solid Waste <br />13 "Solid Waste" means and includes all putrescible and nonputrescible 'solid, <br />14 semisolid, and liquid wastes, including garbage, trash, refuse, rubbish, ashes, <br />15 industrial wastes, demolition and construction wastes, discarded home and <br />16 industrial appliances, manure, vegetable or animal solid and semisolid wastes, <br />17 and other discarded solid and semisolid wastes, as defined in California Public <br />18 Resources Code §40191, as that section may be amended from time to time. For <br />19 the purposes of this Agreement, "Solid Waste" does not include abandoned <br />20 vehicles and parts thereof, Hazardous Waste or low-level radioactive waste, <br />21 medical waste, Source Separated Recyclable Materials, or Green Waste which is <br />22 Source Separated for Collection. <br /> <br />23 2.37 Source Reduction and Recycling Goals <br />24 "Source Reduction and Recycling Goals" means the percentage of Solid Waste <br />25 that Agency intends to divert into alternative waste streams, as required by the <br />26 California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989. <br /> <br />27 2.38 Source Separation <br />28 "Source Separation" means the segregation into separate Containers by the <br />29 Waste Generator of individual components of material which otherwise would <br />30 become refuse, such as glass bottles, metal cans, newspapers, plastic containers, <br />31 etc., for the sole purpose of Recycling, to be picked up by Company. <br /> <br /> Page 10 8/2/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
