the maintenance of its proportionate share of ownership in the <br />Joint Facilities. <br />Section 11. The Joint Facilities <br />Each of the citi.es has accepted the recommendations of <br />the report to proceed with the construction of alternate G of <br />the report. Said alternate recommends the construction of the <br />Stage I Project and the connection of the Stage 1 Project to the <br />Stage 2 Project upon completion of construction of the Stage 2 <br />Project. Belmont, San Carlos and Redwood City agree to proceed <br />to take the necessary steps to obtain funds to construct those <br />portions of the Stage 1 Project which are not part of the Joint <br />Facilities-, and each city agree-, to take the neQcssary steps <br />to obtain funds to bear its share of the cost of the portions <br />of the Stage 1 Project included in the Joint Facilities as <br />determined pursuant to Section 13. Upon completion of these <br />steps, each city will notify the Authority in writing to pro- <br />ceed with the preparation of plans and specifications for the <br />Joint Facilities and to call for construction bids. Upon transfer <br />by each city to the Authority of its share of the cost of the <br />Joint Facilities, the Authority shall award a construction <br />contract and proceed with the construction of the portions of <br />the Stage 1 Project included in the Joint Facilities. The portions <br />of the Stage 1 Project included in the Joint Facilities shall <br />then forthwith be constructed by the Authority; and Belmont, <br />San Carlos and Redwood City shall simultaneously construct or <br />cause to be constructed those portions of the Stage 1 Project <br />not included in the Joint Facilities. <br />Section 12, Ownership of Joint Facilities <br />Each city shall initially own an undivided portion of the <br />Joint Facilities used by it equal to the percentage of the cost <br />
