12/03/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15232 <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT/ <br /> CONFIDENTIAL SUMMARY OF BENEFITS AND AMENDING THE <br /> SALARY RANGES FOR THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF ASSISTANT CITY <br /> ATTORNEY, LIBRARY DIRECTOR, AND PARKS, RECREATION, AND <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to reduce projected deficits for fiscal year 2013- <br /> 2014 and offset anticipated retirement cost increases in future fiscal years; and <br /> WHEREAS, an increase to the employee cost-sharing of employer contributions <br /> to the retirement plan is recommended for January 1, 2014, commensurate with <br /> projected cost increases; and <br /> WHEREAS, a freeze of salary ranges for executive managers for 2012-2013 is <br /> recommended in order to reduce projected deficits for future fiscal years; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 15172 as pertains to salary <br /> ranges for Executive Management on February 27, 2012; and <br /> WHEREAS, the salary ranges specified in Resolution No. 15172 for the <br /> classifications of Assistant City Attorney, Library Director, and Parks, Recreation, and <br /> Community Services Director were incorrect and shall be amended as set forth herein. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Redwood City as follows: <br /> 1. The Executive Management / Confidential Summary of Benefits are amended <br /> according to the summary of changes set forth in Exhibit A and attached <br /> hereto. <br /> 2.
