., i · <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> FOR <br /> PROFESSIONAL GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION AND <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~)~'~ day of <br /> F--'~I~C, 2001, by and between the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> O CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ("Agency"), a public body, corporate and <br /> <br /> politic, and HARZA ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC. ("Consultant"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Agency requires professional geotechnical investigation and <br /> environmental site assessment services (Phases I and II) for the proposed <br /> Downtown Retail-Cinema Project in the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant represents that it possesses the experience, and <br /> is qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. Consultant shall perform all of those <br /> services described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference <br /> incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> 2. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES; PAYMENT. Agency shall <br /> <br /> compensate Consultant for all services performed by Consultant hereunder in an <br /> amount based upon Consultant's hourly rates that are prevailing during the time <br /> of the performance of said services.
