EXHIBIT "A' <br /> <br /> To Agreement for Interim Program Management Services between City of Redwood <br /> City and Whitley Burchett & Associates, January through April 2004 <br /> <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City has developed and approved a Recycled Water Project <br />(Project) to deliver 2000 acre-feet per year for municipal landscape irrigation uses. The <br />Project includes engineering design, construction, operation and maintenance of new <br />infrastructure facilities for the treatment, storage, pumping, transmission and distribution <br />of recycled water to individual customers. The Project also includes the necessary <br />irrigation site retrofits to safely receive and deliver recycle water for the intended <br />landscape irrigation uses. <br /> <br />Development of the new infrastructure facilities requires the coordination of many <br />disciplines involving the community, state regulatory agencies, City staff, SBSA staff, <br />consultants and other professional advisors. The City has undertaken an important <br />community task force process to refine the intended Project scope and potential <br />customers. The community task force has been asked to develop recommendations <br />and submit those recommendations to the City Council in March 2004. Certain planning <br />and pre-design activities are necessary simultaneous with the task force process. <br />These planning activities relate to preparation of various Redwood City and SBSA <br />agreements and planning for implementation once the City Council receives and acts <br />upon the task force recommendations. The Scope-of-Services is to provide for Interim <br />Program Management Services during the period of January 2004 through April 2004 to <br />assist in the preparation for successful start-up implementation of the Project. <br /> <br />TASKS <br />The interim Scope-of-Services include the following tasks. <br /> <br /> Task No. 1: Implementation Strategy Development <br /> <br /> Consultant will provide advisory assistance to the Program Manager in identifying <br /> and developing organizational needs, responsibilities, functions and a decision <br /> making structure. <br /> <br /> Consultant will evaluate available program management software for one <br /> software package that can be used in tracking decisions and disseminating <br /> information to project team members and agency staff. <br /> <br />WBA Agreement 1 0 Revised 1/12/2004_PCI <br />City Attorney Approved Version 101003 <br /> <br /> <br />
