(2) CLSEPA's Project Responsibilities: <br /> CLSEPA will serve as fiscal agent for this project, which includes writing the MOUs for this <br /> project, completing all the financial duties far the project, developing relationships with <br /> grantors, and submitting grant reports. CLSEPA will actively lead the fundraising, planning, <br /> evaluation, capacity building and information sharing activities of the Project. <br /> Additionally, for each city CLSEPA will provide background information on the issue of <br /> payday lending and other fringe financial services. <br /> CLSEPA will collaborate with Nuestra Casa and RWC 2020 to identify key community leaders <br /> and residents in Redwood City who have access to specific constituencies that could be <br /> impacted by payday lenders. Our aim is to engage and educate these community members <br /> around the detrimental nature of payday lenders and to provide potential users of these <br /> unhealthy financial services with viable alternatives. <br /> Additionally, CLSEPA will organize quarterly meetings of the Financial Stability Working <br /> Group to formulate strategies on this project. <br /> CLSEPA will be responsible for paying the Collaborator $3,000 if the Collaborative fulfills all <br /> of its obligations under this MOU. <br /> (3) Collaborator's Project Responsibilities: <br /> The Collaborator has the following project responsibilities as part ofthis MOU: <br /> a. Lead efforts to identify and seek the support of key community leaders and residents <br /> in Redwood City whose participation in our educational campaign will strengthen <br /> the economic well-being of the community. <br /> b. Facilitate introduction to the project for coalition members engaged by Redwood <br /> City 2020. Serve as a community liaison and assist us in the scheduling of <br /> educational presentations at these different community entities. <br /> c. Provide assistance in connecting CLSEPA/Nuestra Casa with potential allies in <br /> Redwood City nonprofit organizations, schools and government institutions. <br /> d. Provide 30 hours of service towards the project's stated goals: <br /> a. Specifically, Collaborator will spend approximately 10 hours of the allotted <br /> time connecting leaders in Redwood City to the payday lending issue and <br /> directly to the Collaborative. This activity will include calls and emails to <br /> schedule meetings between potential allies and Nuestra Casa and CLSEPA. <br /> b. Convene four meetings throughout the grant period, creating opportunities <br /> for the Collaborative to engage local leaders and community residents with <br /> the aim of building momentum around our educational campaign.
