<br /> , <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Itemized List of what Consultant will do for City and at what price and schedule. <br />Scope of Work: <br />Year One: <br />Task 1 - Preliminary Mapping <br />Lynx will update the Fire Map book containing response areas for all 5 stations. They <br />will use the existing GIS data from the Community Development department as the <br />base upon which all updates will occur. This will serve several purposes. It will re- <br />synchronize the base map for all city departments, streamline the base map <br />maintenance and enable the fire department to have access to parcel and street based <br />GIS information for future applications. Lynx will absorb the responsibility as part of this <br />agreement to make any adjustments necessary to the existing fire overlays. Other <br />updates have been compiled over the last 7 years will come from the compiled field <br />maps. <br />Time: 6 weeks <br />Task 2- Run Map Production <br />8 map book (at 8 W' X 11 ") maps and 6 map box (at 8 %" X 11") will be generated to <br />cover the project area. Pages will be based on the County wide emergency response <br />grid. Each map page will have a unique set of street names, adjusted to match the scale <br />and placement of the page. Each map will also indude a reference to adjacent maps <br />and revision date. PDF files will also be created and placed on the fire department or <br />city web site for access and ad hoc printing at any station. <br />One run book will be submitted for review and written approval before production. Maps <br />will be in color, unlaminated and unbound: fire department staff will be responsible for <br />replacing the old maps. <br />Time: 3 weeks <br />Task 3- Wall Map Production <br />Using the description of each Station's response area, provided by the Fire Department, <br />Lynx will develop 5 Wall Maps. These maps will show all information including streets, <br />street names, fire hydrants, addresses and other appurtenances. Major arterials will be <br />shown with different symbology for reference. Each map will be at a set scale (1" = 350) <br />and will cover each of the stations first-in districts and neighboring districts if needed. <br />Street names will be optimized to fit each page without truncation and over posting. <br />Maps will be laminated. <br />Time: 3 weeks <br />Agreernent over $10K 10 <br />City Attorney Approved Version 101003 <br />
