7.B. - Page 72 Redwood City Chapter 4.Environmental Impact Analysis Significant Impact Criteria Criteria Pollutant Emissions As part of an effort to attain and maintain ambient air quality standards for ozone, PM2.5,and PM10, BAAQMD has also established thresholds of significance for these air pollutants and their precursors (ROG and NOx),which it recommends to lead agencies for use in CEQA evaluations.4 As shown in Table 4.4-2,these thresholds for ROG, NOx,PM10,and PM2.5 apply to both construction period and operational period impacts.BAAQMD has also identified significance thresholds for toxic air contaminants and odors. Carbon Monoxide "Hot Spots" If a proposed project would cause local ambient CO concentrations to exceed the applicable 1-and 8-hour CAAQS,the project would be considered to have a significant adverse air quality impact.
