Recreational Facilities and Library ❑ ❑ ❑ � <br /> Services? <br /> Public Services <br /> Impact Discussion <br /> The regulatory environment and existing conditions remain the same as described in the 2007 FEIR. <br /> As discussed below,with implementation of the standard conditions identified in the 2007 FEIR,the <br /> proposed modifications to the project would not result in any new or more severe significant <br /> environmental impacts beyond those previously addressed in the 2007 FEIR and 2007 Addendum <br /> No. 1,and there are no other changes in circumstances,or new information that would necessitate <br /> any major modification of the public services discussions in the 2007 FEIR and 2007 Addendum <br /> No. 1. <br /> Would the project result in substantial adverse physical impacts associated with: <br /> a-1.Fire protection services? <br /> Less-than-Significant New Impact.The Redwood City Fire Department(RCFD) is responsible for <br /> providing fire suppression services throughout the City.The City has five fire stations (Stations 9, <br /> 10, 11, 12,and 20),and Stations 9 and 11 currently serve the project site in the event that fire <br /> protection services are requested.Station 9 is located at 755 Marshall Street,which is about <br /> 0.84 mile northwest of the project site.Station 11 is located at 1091 Second Avenue,approximately <br /> 1.22 miles northeast of the project site.The RCFD is currently staffed by 68 full-time staff: one fire <br /> chief,four battalion chiefs, 18 fire captains,20 firefighters/engineers, 18 paramedic certified <br /> firefighters/engineers,one fire marshal,three fire prevention officers,and three administrative <br /> Addendum No.2 to the Environmental Impact Report for 4-56 September 2012 <br /> the Redwood City Costco Wholesale Project ICF 00154.12 <br />
