�� <br /> �R��f��� <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br /> SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020,AND CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br /> This MEMORAND OF UNDERSTANDING ("MOU") is made and entered into as of the <br /> �.0 day of 2013, by and between SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL <br /> DISTRI ("SUHSD"), OOD ITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight partners, including <br /> City of Redwood, Redwood Cit lementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, <br /> County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner <br /> Center for Youth and their Communities—Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San <br /> Mateo County) and CITY OF REDWOOD ("City") Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. <br /> Collectively, SUHSD, Redwood City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the"Parties." <br /> SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's Partial Funding of the Director position at Sequoia High <br /> School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of <br /> services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an <br /> unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, <br /> including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School <br /> District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. <br /> Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities— Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First <br /> 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated <br /> approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the <br /> attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so <br /> they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. <br /> B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services <br /> required by Redwood City 2020. <br /> C. Redwood City 2020 desires to collaborate with SUHSD to provide partial funding for <br /> the Director position at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center, with a maximum <br /> contribution by Redwood City 2020 in the amount of$50,506.00. <br /> D. The Parties specifically acknowledge and agree that the Director of Sequoia High <br /> School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center is not an employee of the City of Redwood City or Redwood <br /> City 2020, and is not entitled to, and does not obtain, any rights, privileges or benefits as those <br /> conferred upon Redwood City employees. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained <br /> herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> ARTICLE I—BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES <br /> SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund the Director position at Sequoia High <br /> School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center for the 2012-2013 school year. The maximum contribution <br /> by Redwood City 2020 for the 2012-2013 school year will be $50,506.00, and the Director's yearly <br /> salary with benefits shall not exceed $102,506 for the 2012-2013 school year. <br /> 1. Term.
