6 , � <br /> 2. Scope of Services ("Services"). <br /> SUHSD will employ one Director of Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center("STRC") <br /> for the 2012-2013 school year. The Director shall carry out the following responsibilities: <br /> The Director will guide, support, and manage, the growth and development of the Sequoia Teen <br /> Resource Center (STRC). The Director will report to the principal of Sequoia High School. The <br /> Director will have four primary areas of work <br /> 1.) Provide Leadership to the Center's Operations; <br /> 2.) Coordinate and integrate student support services with the school's academic and extracurricular <br /> programs; <br /> 3.) Expand collaborative partners and raise additional resources to support the ongoing success of the <br /> Center; and � <br /> 4.) Assist with the design and implementation of outcome evaluation efforts to track the impact of the <br /> STRC. <br /> The Director shall also pertorm the following tasks: <br /> o Provide leadership and oversee aspects of the operations of the Sequoia Teen Resource <br /> Center <br /> o Coordinate and manage the development and implementation of community school-based <br /> mental health, social and youth development services that enhance the health and safety of <br /> children and families and improve educational outcomes of students <br /> o Monitor the STRC budget and provide fiscal management <br /> o Oversee, supervise, and manage staff, volunteers and interns <br /> o Develop and foster supportive governance structure that includes public and community <br /> based organizations, school staff and youth and convene regular meeting of inembership <br /> o Manage program communications in response to changing needs <br /> o Research and act on funding opportunities, including grant writing, report writing, and donor <br /> development <br /> o Regularly report on the status of implementation of STRC to Redwood City 2020 <br /> o Lead and support outcome evaluation and reporting processes <br /> o Ensure the successful implementation of strategic plans developed by STRC collaborating <br /> partners <br /> In addition to the above, the Director shall perform the following tasks for the Alcohol and Other Drug <br /> Prevention Partnership Grant: <br /> o Provide on-site support, coaching of STRC Partners to facilitate AOD prevention <br /> programs at Sequoia High School. Provide technical assistance,facilitate relationship <br /> building with school staff and connect to other resources in the community, act as <br /> liaison between school Administration, strategize recruitment efforts and development <br /> of programming. <br /> o Facilitate monthly STRC staff meetings to ensure collaboration between Partner <br /> agencies and share prevention strategies. In addition, facilitate 2-3 meetings with <br /> StarVista and CFY staff to plan AOD prevention efforts at Sequoia. Meetings to take <br /> place in September 2012, December 2012, March 2013 <br /> o Meet with school Administration, guidance counselors, SAFE After School <br /> Coordinator, AmeriCorps case managers, Wellness Center, and other school staff to <br /> monitor all prevention programs at Sequoia High School. <br /> o Raise awareness among all Teen Resource Center Partners regarding connection <br /> between AOD prevention efforts and overall youth development strategies. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.210/SEQUOIA HS DIRECTOR OF TEEN RESOURCE CENTER AND RC 2020 MOU <br /> REV:12-21-12 MLG <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />
