TASK 6—BID SUPPORT AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br /> The Consultant shall provide the following services during the bidding process and construction <br /> phase of the project up to the limit of Consultant's budget for this phase. <br /> Consultant shall: <br /> 1. Provide responses to design questions during bid phase. <br /> 2. Attend and conduct pre-bid meeting. Respond to questions from prospective bidders. <br /> Assist in issuing addenda where necessary. <br /> 3. Review bid summaries. <br /> 4. Attend preconstruction meeting and preliminary site visit. <br /> 5. Consultant shall review a selected number of shop drawing submittals, change order (CO) <br /> requests, requests for information (RFI) as requested by the City. It is assumed that the <br /> City staff will review the remaining submittals, COs and RFIs. Consultant shall provide <br /> services on a time and material basis up to the limit of authorized budget. <br /> 6. Prepare "As-Built" drawings based on a single construction markup set provided by the <br /> City's construction manager and the contractor. Consultant shall furnish one (1) set of full- <br /> size plans on 4-mil polyester media. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> • Response to design questions dur ing bidding <br /> • Prepare addenda if necessary <br /> • Provide comments on bid summaries prepared by the city <br /> • Provide review comments on selected submittals <br /> • Provide assistance to City's construction manager (CM) regarding change orders, RFI's, <br /> and provide written recommendations <br /> • Prepare record drawings based on changes marked on a single mark-up set provided by <br /> the City or City's CM <br /> Assumptions: <br /> • Consultant shall provide engineering services to the City during the construction phase of <br /> the project on a time and material basis up to the limit of authorized budget. Estimated <br /> hours for various tasks in this phase are based on the average level of effort. Actual effort <br /> required may vary depending on the contractor, subcontractors, City staff involvement, <br /> construction schedule, and unforeseen conditions and issues. <br /> OPTIONAL SERVICES <br /> The following services are optional tasks and are not included in the base effort and budget: <br /> • Design of a building to house equipm ent and associated architectural services <br /> • CEQA services <br /> • Site visits and meetings with the contractor during construction <br /> • Pump station O&M manual <br /> • New discharge pipeline to Redw ood Creek and its permitting for construction.
