If the extreme maximum <br /> assumption was used, GHG emissions associated with proposed 20-position GDF vehicle trips <br /> could instead double, as compared to emissions associated with existing 12-position GDF <br /> vehicle trips. (See Appendix B, Table B-2.) Note, however, that the extreme maximum <br /> assumption that existing facility vehicle trips will double is extremely unlikely. This is because <br /> for this to occur, the proposed facility's weekday average hourly vehicle trips would need to be <br /> 75 percent higher than the existing facility's weekday peak hour vehicle trips. <br /> As indicated previously, there will be a significant decrease in vehicle queuing associated with <br /> the proposed project as compared to the existing facility. Current vehicle queue time at the <br /> existing 12-position GDF is estimated to be 281 hours per day, more than three times greater <br /> than the 91 vehicle queue hours per day expected for the proposed 20-position GDF. As a <br /> result, GHG emissions associated with vehicle queuing at the proposed 20-position GDF are <br /> expected to be significantly lower than GHG emissions associated with existing 12-position GDF <br /> vehicle queuing. At the request of City of Redwood City staff, vehicle queuing GHG emissions <br /> were also analyzed to reflect an extreme maximum assumption that existing facility vehicle trips <br /> will double. If the extreme maximum assumption was used, GHG emissions associated with <br /> proposed 20-position GDF vehicle queuing could instead be 70 percent higher than emissions <br /> associated with existing 12-position GDF vehicle queuing. (See Appendix B, Table B-3.) <br /> Assuming a gasoline throughput of 18 million gallons per year, as discussed previously, GHG <br /> emissions associated with gasoline delivery trucks could also increase. (See Appendix B, Table <br /> B-4.) <br /> Annual GHG emission changes associated with operation of the proposed 20-position GDF, as <br /> compared to the existing 12-position GDF are shown in Table 17. Based on this information, <br /> greenhouse gas emissions associated with operation of the proposed 20-position GDF, and <br /> their associated impact on global climate change, would be less than significant. <br /> 7/30/2012 <br />
