Therefore, rather than comparing the proposed <br /> 20-position GDF to the 16-position facility evaluated in the 2007 Certified EIR, this section <br /> evaluates the impacts of the proposed project compared to the existing 12-position GDF. <br /> Greenhouse gas emissions are expected to result from fuel combustion associated with vehicle <br /> trips, vehicle queuing, and gasoline delivery trucks. <br /> Operation of the proposed expanded Costco Wholesale Redwood City GDF is expected to <br /> result in slightly greater new daily trips as compared to the existing GDF. The proposed 20- <br /> position GDF is expected to result in 750 net new weekday trips, while the existing 12-position <br /> GDF is estimated to be responsible for 730 net new weekly trips. As a result, GHG emissions <br /> associated with vehicle trips are expected to be less than five percent greater than GHG <br /> emissions associated with existing 12-position GDF vehicle trips.
