RE7.A. - Page 243 Expansion Project#:11637.0 <br /> Auyus<<v,LV1L Page 31 <br /> Evaluation and documentation of how the existing activity levels at the Redwood City site <br /> (warehouse and fuel station) compare to other Costco locations where trip generation is <br /> known (particularly those locations that have 5 island fuel stations) <br /> Evaluation and documentation of the range of trip generation seen at other Costco <br /> Gasoline facilities including those with 5 islands and those with sales volume equal to or <br /> greater than that at Redwood City <br /> Preparation of a range of trip generation estimates for the fuel station expansion based on <br /> five approaches: <br /> o Approach #1 - Using the trip generation observed at other 4 and 5 island Costco <br /> Gasoline facilities with equivalent or greater activity and sales than that of <br /> Redwood City, <br /> o Approach #2 - Using the highest trip generation observed at any of the other 5 <br /> island Costco Gasoline facilities in the continental United States, <br /> o Approach #3 - Using before and after data from other Costco Gasoline expansion <br /> sites to develop a percent increase in trip generation based on that seen at those <br /> locations, and <br /> o Approach #4 - Assuming a straight linear increase in trips proportionate to the <br /> increase in fueling positions (i.e.,a 66%increase in trips) <br /> o Approach #5 - Using the industry standard trip generation rates in the ITE Trip <br /> Generation manual <br /> Evaluation of the trip generation range resultant from the above approaches to determine <br /> a reasonable, yet conservative, estimate to use for the Redwood City fuel station <br /> expansion <br /> These steps and the resultant findings for each are outlined in the following sections. <br /> Kittelson&Associates,Inc.
