(KAI) has prepared preliminary transportation and parking information <br /> regarding the existing characteristics of and the proposed expansion to the Costco Gasoline fuel <br /> station located at 2300 Middlefield Road in the City of Redwood City, California. The purpose of this <br /> memorandum is to address two main topics: <br /> Provide documentation of the existing transportation characteristics of the site and fuel <br /> station in accordance with follow up requirements of the initial development approval; <br /> and <br /> Provide preliminary data and information on the expected transportation characteristics <br /> and impacts associated with expanding the existing fuel station from 3 islands (12 fueling <br /> positions) to 5 islands (20 fueling positions). <br /> The scope for this work was developed based on the previous work completed for the initial gas <br /> station development application, direction from City Staff, and the Costco team's review of the <br /> transportation and parking issues associated with the proposed gas station expansion.
