1.21 CONSTRUCTION LAYOUT AND COMPACTION TESTIN� <br /> A. The Contractor will furnish his own layout and control lines necessary for the construction of the <br /> improvements covered by this contract. The Contractor shall notify the City Engineer, in writing, <br /> at least one full working day prior to the date when excavation will start. <br /> 1.22 CONTRACOTR'S INSURANCE/WORKER'S COMPENSATION <br /> A. Contractor shall obtain and maintain in fuil force and effect, during the life of this Contract, <br /> Workers' Compensation Insurance and Employers' Liability Insurance covering all employees <br /> employed in performance of work under this Contract. The Contractor shall make this same <br /> requirement of any of his subcontractors. <br /> B. Contractor shall indemnify and save the City and the Engineer harmless for any damage <br /> resulting to them from failure of either Contractor or any sub-contractor to take out or maintain <br /> each insurance. <br /> 1.23 INSURANCE ON WORK AND MATERIALS <br /> A. The Contractor shall secure and maintain such direct damage insurance against such perils as <br /> the Contractor may deem necessary to protect the Work called for in this Contract including <br /> Work completed, material in place or to be used in the performance of this Contract and such <br /> other miscellaneous items as may be necessary to the performance of this Contract. <br /> 1.24 BONDS <br /> A. Contractor shall provide the required Faithful Performance Bond and Payment Bond for this <br /> project. <br /> 1.25 GUARANTEES <br /> A. Unless otherwise specified in these specifications, Contractor shall guarantee for one year (365 <br /> days) from the start of the final completion of the contract to repair or replace any improvements <br /> which constitutes defects resulting from the use of inferior or defective materials, equipment, or <br /> workmanship. <br /> 1.26 LED LUMINAIRES <br /> A. All new luminaires shall be LED type luminaires with a Type III distribution pattern. Luminaires <br /> shall operate at 240 Volt AC and shall have an input wattage of approximately 144 Watts. <br /> B. Luminaires shall be Holophane LaneVue 60LED�700mA Luminaires (part number LVU1-60- <br /> E70-MVOLT-R2-4K-DOB-PCSS), or approved equal. <br /> C. Luminaires shall be equipped with integral photo-control receptacle. Luminaires shall be <br /> individually photo-controlled and shall be equipped with photo-control unit. <br /> D. Luminaire housing shall be painted per City Standard Specification 16500, 2.02. <br /> E.
